A tactical headset may come in one of three different types.  For any tactical headset, the apparatus used to secure the earpiece could fit a as headband with circumaural and supra-aural headphones, or fit behind the neck, like those typically used in portable supra-aural headphones.  A tactical headset may also have a balanced armature, such as those used in canalphones. SWAT Headsets
