- Field and Wire Communication : Component products for wired communication systems that are designed for various field operations used on mobile, transportable, and semi-permanent military communications facilities. Products include high-reliability connectors which are designed for speedy, foolproof interconnections under extreme field conditions, field distribution boxes and related cable assemblies which permit connection of either cable end or to the distribution box. The redundant design provides 104 contacts for 52 cable conductors (52 pairs) and is rugged and waterproof resistant against wear and damage caused by dragging on the ground or through water.
- Field Wire, Cable and Related Equipment : Field telephone wire provided in the required length, configuration and on the needed equipment for the proper application. Wire is twisted, has individually insulated conductors, four tinned-copper strands and three galvanized steel strands with an inner insulation of polyethylene and outer nylon jacket. The wire has a tensile strength of approximately 200 pounds It weighs 48 lbs. per 1mile (1.6 Km) and is supplied in either mile or kilometer increments.
